Bebenhausen near Thuebingen was a hunting castle built for King Karl
and Queen Olga of Wuerttemberg. Many of the silver items were direct
orders to Schleissner but other were bought from the art dealer Eduard
Foehr. Reproduction silver in various styles was ordered so as to
suggest a “Wunderkammer” - a cabinet of curiosities - in the manner of
